We accomplished a lot in 2011: we formed the Diversity & Inclusion Agency Head Kitchen Cabinet and the Procurement Advisory Team. We held meetings around the state, engaging with businesses, the nine federally recognized tribes, chambers, trade organizations, local governments and economic development organizations. With the passage of Cool Schools legislation, interested contractors can register to participate here on our website.

The Governor's Office of Economic & Business Equity is proud to present our 2011 Annual Report. Our mission is to increase the participation rate of Oregon's certified small businesses and to build awareness of the relevance of small businesses as an important driver of Oregon's economy.

Governor Kitzhaber is focused on supporting economic prosperity and equitable opportunities for all Oregonians. This priority drives the work of the Governor's Office of Economic & Business Equity.

The Oregon Opportunity Register & Clearinghouse is part of Economic & Business Equity and helps develop and support opportunities by working with state agencies and local jurisdictions to ensure Oregon's certified firms receive information about contracting opportunities.

The Governor's School Audit Initiative was a $2 million effort, funded by the federal stimulus program, to provide energy audits for 394 facilities in 100 school districts across Oregon. The Initiative has identified over $20 million in various energy efficiency projects. Economic & Business Equity in the Governor's Office will be providing to all interested school districts a list of firms that have indicated their interest in implementing energy efficiency projects in the school district's territory. By submitting your information via this form, you will be included on the list of firms for school districts to contact.
