Oregon's natural sites--its forests, its oceans, its beaches, its mountains, its waterways, its wildlife--are some of the most beautiful and scenic in the nation. For most Oregonians, these wonders are just a relatively short car ride away--close enough to visit on a free afternoon. For quick reference, we have compiled these regional listings of some of the more popular hikes in Oregon. The desciptions are very brief, and the directions may not be as comprehensive as needed to easily find the trailheads. For more information on hiking in Oregon, you may want to try:

Best Hikes with Children in Western and Central Oregon (for those hiking with kids)
Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: State Parks
Pacific Northwest Region Forest Service
National Park Service: Oregon Parks
Any of these sources can help you more fully explore Oregon hiking options.
(To the kids reading this: remember to always hike with an adult. Some of these trails are steep, rocky or otherwise difficult and it would be dangerous for you to try them on your own.)
Pick a region from the box on the right, pick a trail, take the afternoon off and enjoy all the natural beauty Oregon has to offer!
